Q: Do you provide tests?
A: Yes, we do. We also have our own resources that will be provided during a paid lesson.
Q: I've completed my homework, can I please have some more?
A: Each student will be provided with homework , if needed, during the lesson however, additional homework will not be provided between lessons.
Q: Where does the online tutoring take place?
A: Online tutoring takes place via Facebook Messenger. You will need a working camera and microphone. We also suggest using Google Chrome as it seems to have the best compatibility.
Q: How does the payment method work and who do I pay?
A: After booking a lesson on the website, you will be directed to create a user profile. All lessons will need to be paid for at the time of booking. At no time do we have access to your credit card details as these are kept in an encrypted code by our payment provider, Square.
Q: How many lessons do you think I'll need to pass the LANTITE?
A: It is impossible to know how many lessons are needed. Each person learns at different rates and are starting at different skill levels.
Q: Is the assessment free?
A: The assessment will take place during your first paid tutoring lesson. Our tutors work full time and we cannot expect them to give us their time for free.
Q:What happens if I need to cancel a lesson.
A: Lessons can be canceled, but fee's do apply depending on the amount of notice given. Please see our cancellation policy for full details.
Q: I have questions between my lessons, can I message them to you?
A: As much as we would love to help you between lessons, we simply don't have the time. Most of our days are completely booked out, and it would be unfair to our clients if we are assisting you during their lessons. We suggest you write any questions you may have down, and we can address them during your next lesson.
Q: What if I am running late to my lesson?
A: Lesson times start from the time you booked in. If you are running late the time will not be extended, as we have other students to consider.
Q: What if I am running late to pick up my child?
A: Parents should be arriving 5 minuets before the end of their child's lessons so that we can discuss the lesson. Parents arriving after this time will not be able to discuss their child's progress.
Q: I've failed the LANTITE and now need a letter to prove I am receiving tuition, can you help?
A: Students who have failed several times will need to be taught the basics as well as foundation skills. Letters will not be provided unless a minimum of 20 hours has been completed and when/if the tutor feels you are ready. Simply booking/having 20 lessons does not guarantee that you will receive a letter . There is an administration fee of $60 to be provided with a letter, once the minimum number of hours has been reached and your tutor feel you are prepared. Please note, we will not provide letters two months after your last lesson. This is non negotiable.
Q: How long before the LANTITE should I start tutoring?
A: Tutoring should start as soon as possible. There is no point in approaching us a few weeks before the test. It could take several months to learn the skills needed to pass the LANTITE.
Q: I have just failed my second attempt and intended to sit the next round, should I do this?
A: If you have failed twice, you are not going to have any more success with another test without some sort of help. We have tutored several hundred students for LANTITE and in our professional opinion, you need to take the time to learn the skills needed to pass. Any extra attempts without assistance will just be a waste.
Q: I don't have much money, as I am a student. Do you offer discounts?
A: We understand students frequently struggle financially. We are however a business and in the sake of fairness to all of our clients, we do not offer discounts.
Q: What hours do you work, and will you answer my messages?
A: We work from 8 am-8 pm, Saturday to Thursday. Please do not send us messages outside of these times.
Q: Why have you not answered my messages?
A: As stated above, our hours are 8 am- 8 pm, Saturday to Thursday. All messages will be answered during these hours.
Q: Can I book the same time and day each week?
A: All lessons have to be paid for at the time of booking. No lesson times will be guaranteed until payment is made. We suggest you book several weeks ahead if you would like to have the same time and day each week.
Q: What happens if my lesson is cancelled.
A : There may be times when we may have to cancel your lesson. If this happens you will be contacted to reschedule the lesson and find a time and day that is agreeable to both parties. The monies paid will carry over as payment for the new lesson.
